But please don't misunderstand. The Ocean is not way off shore. Here where we live in Port Lions, the waters we fish are protected. Surrounding us are the Islands of Afognak, Whale, and Raspberry. They provide protection as well as extremely fertile waters. The best thing about this situation is that if the water does get a bit unruley, we can change spots very quickly and find a more protected spot that's just as productive. This makes Kodiak Wilderness Adventures a perfect destination for guys who don't like the rough water but still love to fish, as well as for the wives and family members who are not appreciative of rough seas.
